Unfortunately, even your operating system has a dark mode or night mode option, still, several apps do not provide a night mode. So, because of that, you will not be able to use all your gadgets and apps in dark mode. Luckily, there is a trick that enables you to apply dark mode in any application on your android device. (i.e., Snapchat does not have a dark mode. But you can simply apply dark mode by this method). Let’s see how we can do that…
- First of all, you have to enable the Developer Options on your android device. Follow these simple steps to turn it on.
- Open settings in your android device.
- Go to About phone and then to Software information.
- Scroll down to Build number.
- Tap 8 times on the Build Number and then your phone’s security will be checked by requesting you to enter your password again are to draw your pattern again.
Now you have
successfully enabled Developer options to your device, and you will receive a
notification to confirm that too.
After this, when
you go to settings again, you will see Developer options at the bottom of the
list. Let’s see how to turn on dark mode in any application now. Please go
through the following procedure.
- Open settings in your android device.
- Scroll down to Developer options and then you will see a long list of options thereunder several sections.
- Again, scroll down to the section Hardware accelerated rendering.
- Find the Forced Dark mode option under the above section and turn it on.
You are all set! From
now, the applications you use will be forced to open in dark mode. As an
example, this Facebook messenger lite app does not come with a dark mode. This is the interface of the settings page when you just open it.
But after enabling the Forced Dark mode this is how it looks like.
Note: You cannot apply dark mode to any running apps. What you should do is, Close the app you want to apply dark mode > Enable Forced Dark mode > Open the app.
You can use the
above method to use all of your favorite apps and gadgets in your favorite dark
mode, even if they do not provide an option to do so. No more worries about
using apps in the light mode! Hope you got to know something new, and you
enjoyed it. Don’t forget to post a comment and see you soon with more
